FRAGMENTS OF SUMMER

DIARY OF A
SALES ASSISTANT
IN CAPRI

In 1965, during a hot summer filled with the sweet boredom typical of bourgeois holidays, Piero Fornasetti opened a shop in Capri. This was the setting when he asked his sales assistant, whose identity remains shrouded in mystery, to keep track of everything that happened in a diary.

That long-lost diary unearths fragments of a distant summer, where objects become witnesses to faded memories. The sales assistant's writing is a list, a classification exercise used for commercial purposes, which today finds new dignity as a narrative.

An opportunity to relive the magic of Capri through the eyes of an anonymous sales assistant and the objects that marked an era.
